Our Information Technology department provides general suggestions for specifications for laptops. However, the needed specifications can vary depending on a student's major and uses. GENERAL USE

Need a laptop to complete homework, type papers, and work in excel? These laptops will be perfect for you. They will accomplish most general computer usages and still be able to stream Netflix and play some video games. These are ideal for most business majors, nurses, and many other majors. 
*Computer Engineers can use a general-use laptop. However, we suggest purchasing a "Better" rated laptop to ensure the ability to run all programs for the major.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

Designers have very specific needs and we have selected two laptops that can offer the flexibility and power needed for a designer. The Thinkbook Plus allows you to draw on the back screen which gives an undistracted and accessible workspace. The Microsoft Surface Pro X is a tablet and laptop combination that is built to be drawn on with the Surface Stylus that gives greater control and detail.
